Wow, very impressed with how sleek and nice this looks! The wood is beautiful! This is exactly the desk I was looking for - something modern and minimal and easy to put together.
Shipping took a while and one corner of the desk was just a tiny bit chewed up when it arrived, but overall, it was packed really well to prevent damage.
I recently purchased a Hoek desk and have been very pleased with the experience and the quality of the material. One piece was defect during the asembly process however the team was extremely helpful and timely when I reached out for a replacement part. Highly recommend
The assembly process was remarkably straightforward, surpassing the ease highlighted in the marketing materials. Comparatively, I’ve encountered more challenges assembling a lamp purchased online. I am optimistic that the HOEK furniture’s convenience aligns with its durability.
This is just what we needed for wfh in a NYC railroad apartment. I can put two monitors on the Monitor Shelf and a laptop over to the side for max screen and writing space.
My only wish is that the Under Shelf had options for smaller, shorter hooks (hoeks?) So I can slide my chair underneath without it getting caught on the armrests. And/or put it on some tracks so you can use it as a keyboard tray. Or just make it an Under Draw that slides out?
Might also be good to have different size options for the top shelf so you can have it higher if you want.
The Hook is surprisingly handy. I don't have big headphones so hang my backpack there, which is nice because now it doesn't have to hang on our closet doorknob.
Apologies as my first review was missing the description and is thus a duplicate of this review. I was able to assemble the entire desk in ten minutes once I figured out how to do the snapping. The joints all hold well together. I use this desk for both work and for play (as a second table for board games). I find the desk very sturdy, meaning when I type or write the table does not move at all. The added shelf provides ample space underneath for notebooks, so I don't have wasted desk space. Same for the bottom carrier. I did wonder why the bottom carrier did not pull out but it turns out that is where papers and pens and other things go. The keyboard should sit at the front of the desk with everything around the keyboard. That setup is how I get into command position to work.
I'm really happy with the desk, I recommend it to anyone who's in need of a solid regular desk, with the added benefit of being able to stow the desk away for more space.
