An Excellent Desk

I am impressed with every aspect of these products. The ingenious ease with which they snap together, and in the case of the desk, self-contained and easily portable. I am still more pleased with its stability. Other desks I have had of similar style have been noticeably unstable or excessively wobbly, but the Hoek Desk is robust in every aspect. It does not shake or vibrate easily, it is extremely rigid along its long edge, and all the surfaces are well-finished. I consider this purchase to be a worthwhile investment that will be able to travel with me to most places I need to go.

I don't always need desk, but when I do, I prefer my Hoek

This has been a fantastic addition to my productivity. My normal workspace is in the middle of the house in the dining room. Sometimes, I need a quiet place for calls, paperwork, etc. 60 seconds later + a drawer of productivity gear, the guest room becomes the perfect office.

Are the different leg heights interchangeable?

YES! All Hoek legs are interchangeable with all Hoek pieces. Use your imagination to transform the furniture as you need, from a round coffee table to a small dining table, or a regular dining table to a low dining table (what the Japanese called "Chabudai").

Can the monitor shelf support 2 monitors?

While we have not conducted formal weight testing on the monitor shelf, it can easily fit and hold 2 monitors with -5 Ibs. each. The monitor shelf is made of FSC Certified Plywood and features a High-Pressure Laminate Surface, ensuring strength and durability.

Is the monitor shelf at an appropriate level for work?

Yes, it is 7 inches above the surface of the desk and designed to be ergonomically efficient.

Can i use the hoek desk accessories on a non-hoek desk?

No. The Desk Accessories (undershelf. monitor shelf. and hook) will only work with the HOEK desk patented system.
